Full-Time Food Processing Labourer in Vancouver
Job Description
Skills Requirements:
Experience – 7 months to less than 1 year
Languages: Speak, read and write English
Weight Handling: up to 25 kg (50 lbs) on a repeated basis
Available Shift: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00 pm
Specific Skills:
Transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials
Measures and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines or mobile tank trucks
Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties
Feed and unload processing machines
Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers
Check products and packaging for basic quality defects
Clean work areas and equipment
Complete required daily documentation consistently
Ability to work as a team member to get the job done more effectively
Is realiable and punctual
Other duties as instructed
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Repetitive tasks, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and standng for extended periods
Essential Skills:
Finding documents and information with the use of computer, reading text, numeracy, significant use of memory, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, continuous learning.
