T&T Trucking has an exciting opening for a On The Job Driver Trainer, Health and Safety Supervisor to join the team in Saskatoon, SK!

In this highly varied role, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to an established company. As you train drivers, you will have the opportunity to see them progress in their longstanding careers with T&T Trucking. Also, you will have the chance to progress into a Safety Supervisory role in the future if you show commitment and a commendable work ethic!
As we said, this is a highly varied role where no day will be the same. In addition to driver training, you will also be involved with shaping and guiding the business towards success.
On a regular basis, you will have the following responsibilities:
Involvement in hiring trainee drivers;
Performing practical, hands-on training for new trainees of various experience levels;
Completing driver 2-day driver orientations to familiarize them with our business and their responsibilities;
Test and assess drivers with the goal of training them to successfully receive their Class 1A Licence;
Follow training throughout their 30-60-85 assessment days, to provide feedback on improvement;
Oversee hours of service and log book training;
Oversee weight distribution training;
Involvement in and assisting to prepare for semi-annual driver meetings;
Taking part in the Accident Review Committee to determine preventable or non-preventable actions that need to be taken;
Log book audits; and
Possible minimal travel to other branches.
To qualify for the role, you will need a Class 1A Licence. Preferably, you will have 5+ years of driving experience, and the perfect candidate will have driver training experience. It will be considered an asset if you have a clean driver’s abstract as well.
