The courier-driver is responsible for the safe and efficient organisation and handling of World Courier shipments. This includes pick up and delivery as well as related tasks which can include submitting shipments to Canada customs and the use of specialty packaging. Other functions include:
· Liaising with customers, consignees, airlines, brokers, agents and all other parties involved.
· Executing complex logistics solutions including next flight out shipments, on-board courier service, etc.
· Assisting customers with all services required of a premium courier such as ensuring regulatory compliance of documentation, timely and accurate communications and monitoring of shipment’s temperature.
The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a small but structured, high pressure and fast-paced office environment with a supplied uniform dress code. He/she must be flexible to work various shifts. The ideal candidate must be a strong team player and posses excellent written and oral communication skills. World Courier prides itself on developing from within, therefore demonstrated leadership skills are a major asset.
· Excellent French communication skills, spoken and written
· Excellent English communication skills, spoken and written
· Professional personal appearance and presentation
· Shift flexibility and availability for overtime
· Ability to prioritize and multitask
· Comfortable working with common PC applications
· Related experience in logistics or in one of the industries served by World Courier is a plus
