Job Description/Responsibilities:
Company Driver Position
Class 1A Tractor Trailer Flat Deck Driving position delivering to potash mines throughout Southern Saskatchewan
Drivers will be required to strap and potentially tarp final loads
Display a professional attitude towards customers and adhere to a schedule as established on a timely basis
Light warehouse duties including but not limited to shrink-wrapping pallets, operating a forklift to load the trailer, assisting warehouse staff as required Company will provide forklift certification if needed
Adhere to safe driving and delivery practices while on site
Must complete pre and post trip truck and trailer inspections and report any maintenance issues to Canada Cartage dispatch and management
Adhere to all HOS regulations
Handling of freight documents/manifests
City/Highway/Rural Driving
Hand bombing required
Other duties as reasonably required
Job Qualifications:
Requires Class 1A license with minimum 2 years driving experience
Flat Deck Driving experience considered an asset
Forklift experience and asset
Must have knowledge of HOS/DOT regulations
Must submit to drug/alcohol testing
Clean drivers abstract for a minimum of 2 years (no greater than 30 days old)
Must participate in a Criminal Background Check
Must have steel toed safety boots
