Job Description
Job Duties:
Inspects truck before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
Read bill of lading to determine assignment.
Fasten chain or binders to secure load on trailer during transit.
Loads or unloads or assists in loading or unloading truck.
May drive as a part of two person team driving tractor with sleeper bunk.
services truck with oil,fuel and radiator fluid to maintain tractor trailer.
obtain customer’s signature or collects payment for services.
Inventories and inspects goods to be moved.
Maneuver truck into loading and unloading position, following signals from loading crew as needed.
Drives truck to weigh station before and after loading, along route to document weight and confirm to provincial regulations.
Must be able to operate a tractor/trailer unit.
Job Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School.
Less than one year experience is required.
Class 1 driving Licence with Air Brakes.
Basic English.
