Full-Time Labourer, Construction in Vancouver
Job Description

Position: We are currently hiring general labourers for a multi-family projects within the North Shore
Work hours are Monday – Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm.
Duties & Responsibilities: Reporting directly to Site Superintendent, the candidate will perform various general labour around the worksite.
Prepare sites to ensure maximum optimization of construction work procedures
Carry heavy building materials, distributing them to appropriate locations on site
Assist in digging and trenching as required
Place traffic signs to warn traffic of construction in process
Clean debris, trash or hazardous material from construction site
Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed
Qualifications:
1+ years of construction experience
Ability to safely lift, carry and move standard construction material and tools up to 50 lbs
Committed to ensuring a safe workplace
Punctual, reliable and dependable
Great understanding of WorkSafe rules and a responsible attitude
Some carpentry skills highly preferred
Level I first aid is an asset
The successful candidate will have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with construction personnel, equipment operators, supervisors, crew and sub-contractors.
