On behalf of our client in Burlington we are currently recruiting for a Warehouseman, with experience in shipping as well as production. Our client is looking to hire someone in a permanent role to join their team.
Responsibilities In this position the candidate will be responsible for the following:
– Maintaining literature inventory control
– Preparing samples
– Inventory and distribution
– Matting production
– Responsible for displays and inventory of marketing collateral
– Initiate and conduct inventory cycle count
– Able to provide customer service when needed
– Shared responsibility regarding receipt and disposition of products with regards to customer complaints
– Package and label all customer orders
– Receiving incoming product
– Moving product/supplies to available warehouse locations
Requirements The successful candidate for this position must have the following experience:
– Forklift certification
– Basic flooring knowledge would be a great asset
– 5 years warehousing experience
– Knowledge of racking systems as well as space planning, stock turning (FIFO) and flow of goods
– Must be able to lift approximately 75 pounds
– Candidates should have a mechanical aptitude
– Intermediate level Microsoft Word and Excel
– Knowledge of Syspro would be an asset
– Must be able to multitask
– Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
– Customer service skills
– Ability to work out details with the dimensioning of product for production and shipping
– Attention to detail, to reduce waste of product
