Under direct/indirect supervision, the Driver’s Assistant must maintain a professional work ethic, customer first attitude and be safe and courteous throughout their interactions with customers and the Driver at all times.
This opportunity is based out of our Mississauga location at the corner of Courtneypark Drive and Dixie Road and the hours of work are from 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday to Friday. (Opportunities for overtime according to the needs of the business are available.)

Key Responsibilities
Safe loading/unloading and securing of non-palletized loose freight using dollies, stair-climber and ramps
Proper loading of trucks as per planned schedule adhering to safety and product integrity
Removal of debris from customer site for disposal at Canon warehouse
Assist driver with safe loading, delivery both to customer dock and inside delivery
Ensuring the security of goods in truck and product integrity at all times
Provide excellent customer service at all times
To Succeed, You will have:
High school graduate or equivalent
Excellent knowledge of GTA
Able to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis as required
Ability to multi-task and adapt to daily priority changes
Able to work well alone and as a team; conscientious and reliable; ability to follow instructions
Strong written and communication skills
Experience in transportation of blanket wrapped loose freight and use of stair climber an asset
Experience and/or training on emergency procedures, spill response, WHMIS and transportation of dangerous goods considered assets
