Responsible for inspections, maintenance and repair requests to meet contract service levels, including machinery; appliances; equipment; physical structures; power; water and wastewater systems; and piping systems.
This is a 14 days on & 14 days off rotation, 12 hours per day, camp job but no flights provided, however some travel allowance is provided upon completion of 30 days of employment.
Conducts general base building repairs as required in a timely manner.
Conducts building inspections and performs required repairs as required.
Responds to service requests from Maintenance Supervisor, performs related tasks and performs the required follow-up.
Manages and maintains inventory of supplies and tools to enable efficient service delivery.
Escorts various contractors and supervises their work.
Maintain a clean workspace at all times, snow removal, etc.
Maintain records and documentation as required for audit compliance.
Ensures Occupational Health and Safety and the Environment legislation, standards, policies, procedures and practices are followed.
In conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, assist in the development of a financial plan for the maintenance requirements of the property(s) and make recommendation for the implementation of preventative maintenance and capital repairs.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and programs as required.
Works overtime as required.
Requirements
High School Diploma.
3-5 years’ experience preferably working in a camp, hotel or building services environment.
Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Skid Steer Ticket.
H2S Alive.
Construction Safety Training System (CSTS).
Confined Space an asset.
Fall Protection an asset.
Loader Ticket an asset.
First Aid and CPR an asset.
Must be neat, professional and well-groomed.
Must be dedicated to exceptional external and internal guest service.
Ability to assess and act quickly to resolve issues.
Must possess strong organizational/time management skills.
Positive attitude and outgoing personality are essential.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat/cold.
The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
