JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the Vehicle Transportation driver is responsible for safe and timely pick up and delivery of vehicles within Canada and the US. Duties include vehicle inspections; loading and off loading car carrier; timely and accurate completion of daily logs, fuel, mileage and run sheets, while providing exceptional customer service at all times.
Livingston Vehicle Transportation Services offers vehicle pick-up and delivery services, door to door, between the U.S. and Canadian locations. We are an asset-based transportation company with secure compounds in Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax. We use our own trucks, in conjunction with safe and trusted partner-carriers, to provide fast and efficient pick-up and delivery services coast to coast. RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspects vehicles prior to loading, ensuring that vehicles are loaded correctly and documentation is accurately completed
Picks up and delivers vehicles on car carrier in a timely, safe and responsible manner, and ensures that all paperwork is completed with the customer
Reports to Dispatch on a daily basis for loads and instructions, maintains regular communication with Dispatch to ensure that customer needs are met
Maintains and submits accurate logs and records
Reports damages, incidents and equipment failures to Fleet Manager immediately Portrays a professional company image at all times QUALIFICATIONS
Secondary School graduation
Current Class 1 License
FAST certified
Clean CVOR
Minimum of 3 years experience and 2 years in the auto-carrying Industry
Must be able to pass regular Provincial Transportation physicals and written tests
Proficiency in the English language
Proven track record for superior Customer Service
Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Superior attention to detail
