Full-Time Fulltime Forklift Truck Operator in Vancouver
Job Description
We are currently working with various clients across Vancouver who are seeking Forklift Truck Operators. We work with clients in various industries for both Temporary/Contract and Permanent Positions.
The successful candidates will have a current Forklift certificate and previous assembly or manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities for the roles could include the following:
– Building customized item, using hand tools and staple guns
– Handle all incoming shipments.
– Place received material, after segregating backorders, into proper warehouse storage locations. When appropriate, relocate and consolidate material and notify management of new bon/table locations.
– Pull, pack, weigh and label materials for shipment (including assemble & hold orders).
– Assist in loading trucks.
– Pull stock and return it to the correct location pending credit memo, sale or return to supplier.
– Clean warehouse and trucking/parking area.
– Assemble and disassemble bins, racks, shelves and tables as needed.
– Administer preventative maintenance programs to delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety practices for warehouse operations.
Essential Requirements
– Forklift Certification Required
– Experience using propane, sit down counter balance trucks and pallet jacks
– Able to read and write English
– Lift and move boxes, read labels and process incoming and outgoing orders.
– Operate hand-held scanner
– Climb and balance on Ladder Carts
– Lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance for prolonged periods
– Load and shrink wrap pallets at ground level, or on carts
– Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with material handling aids
Protective footwear is required and should meet ASTM F2413-11 “Standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protective (Safety) Toe Cap Footwear” and have a slip-resistant rating designated as “Better or Best.”
