Position SummaryThis position is responsible for loading orders into an assigned company vehicle and following a scheduled route to ensure all deliveries are made in a timely manner as scheduled. They will work with the Gold Store online grocery team to ensure successful and on time delivery of customer orders to Bronze Stores.
Position Responsibilities. Protects company vehicle by conducting daily and required vehicle circle checks, maintaining fuel levels, and following maintenance and reporting procedures.
. Immediately reports any deficiencies or damage.
. Operates company vehicles in various road conditions safe and responsible manner and ensures the vehicle is clean, tidy and well cared for.
. Follows pre-determined scheduled delivery routes.
. Operates the vehicle under control at all times in accordance with the company safety policies and procedures and highway rules and regulations.
. Ensures product is properly loaded in the assigned vehicle and the load is received at the Bronze Store, while meeting all food quality standards and processed in a timely manner to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
. Keeps teams informed on the progress and offers feedback throughout their route by reporting clear and accurate information, as required.
. Is knowledgeable about our service and promotes the business and products positively at all times.
. NB: Customer interaction is likely to be limited given the nature of the role.
. Works cooperatively as a team with peers, completing other duties as assigned including working in stores as required picking products and fulfilling online orders. In other words, this role is highly likely to fulfill duties of the Customer Fulfillment Associate and the Order Support Associated in the online grocery work group. No driver premium will be paid while fulfilling these duties.
. Is flexible in completing /adjusting to work assignments based on customer requests and meeting daily delivery schedules.
. Attends and participates in meetings as required.

QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. . Knowledge of the local roads and highways with the ability to program and follow GPS instructions
. Able to read, write and communicate in English and clearly express information to customers, co-workers and management
. The ability to calmly operate a motor vehicle safely and efficiently in various conditions
. The ability to memorize and decipher alpha and numeric codes in order to accurately deliver product
. Fast paced working environment that involves grocery deliveries
. Frequent maneuvering in and out of delivery vehicle
. May be required to work flexible and/or extended hours in order to address business needs
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Basic Reading/Writing Skills
Ability to understand to the meaning of written or printed matter and to record information by inscribing characters or symbols.

. Must possess a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License with a recent demonstrated clean driving abstract
