Hopewell Residential currently has an opening for a Construction Labourer to join the team within the single family division. This position will report directly to the Construction Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform tasks as assigned by Construction Manager and/or Site Supervisor which may include excavation, demolition, carrying supplies and materials, minor carpentry, tool maintenance, punch list tasks;
Report any problems, damage, hazardous conditions and oversights to Site Supervisor;
Keep job sites clean; ensure debris is contained in proper dumpsters; do exterior pick-up and interior sweeping / tidying once a day;
Mix, pour and spread materials;
Assist in receiving material deliveries;
Load and unload trucks, stack and store materials, protect lumber and other large materials from exposure to weather;
Keep model homes tidy; make repairs as necessary;
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned;
De-ice, shovel snow and supply heat to homes under construction in winter months;
Assist Hopewell Residential Maintenance with Show Home snow removal as required;
Competencies Required:
2+ years construction experience required;
Clean drivers abstract;
Completion of High School/GED diploma;
Team player;
Verbal communication skills;
Lifting is required on a daily basis (weights may reach 50+ pounds);
Working Conditions:
Work may require occasional weekend and/or evenings;
This position will require travel within Calgary and surrounding area;
Steel-toed safety boots and hard hat is required;
Physical requirements related to this position included, but are not limited to, the ability to lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pull heavy amounts of weight, operate assigned equipment/vehicles.
