Provide leadership and guidance to the Distribution Managers to support all Tractor Trailer Drivers within the network.
Directs and delegates the work activities of direct reports and ensures appropriate capabilities exist within the team to effectively deliver and support our business objectives.
Holds individuals accountable for their commitments, job performance and behaviors by regularly providing timely, specific and constructive feedback.
Lead and support all people development and management processes throughout the network.
Support direct reports with recruitment strategies and managing staffing to budget expectations and business requirements.

Communicate safety topics and stories to ensure a personal connection to working safely.
Collaborate with the Health, Safety & Environment team to ensure injury and incident reporting is accurate and on-time and assist with any investigations to resolution.

Business Optimization
Develop analytics and benchmarking to support key performance indicators and best-in-class practices.
Ensure adequate resources are available to meet demand as required for seasonal fluctuations in business, weather & supply interruptions.
Ensure achievement of KPIs through proactive management and making proper business decisions to support strategy
Develop strategies to increase profitability using knowledge of current and emerging practices and trends in the industry
Support internal and external customers by actively networking and building relationships.
Qualifications
Post secondary education preferred. Equivalent distribution experience with an operational background may be considered.
5+ years experience in operations and/or customer service.
5+ years industry related management experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships.
Able to make presentations to large groups, including senior leaders.
Dedicated to leading and inspiring people.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
