Job Description
If you are between the ages of 18 and 29 and looking for an employment opportunity in construction, this program may be for you. Experience in construction is an asset, but not required to apply.
Qualifications to participate:
Between the ages of 18 and 29.
Not in receipt of EI benefits within the last 10 years or eligible for EI if currently unemployed.
A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations.
What does the program look like?
Two weeks of classroom training where participants will be paid minimum wage ($11.06/hour) and an eight-week work placement in a construction trade. The program runs from June 3 to August 9, 2019.
