Job Description
Material Handler
Primary Responsibility:
Perform all aspects of the picking of parts for work orders.
Duties Include:
Shelve incoming parts
Determine appropriate storage of materials
Pick parts for all work orders
Maintain the organization of inventory, ensuring accessibility at all times
Count inventory for annual and cycle counts
Identify inventory shortages to the Warehouse Supervisor
Operate equipment and tools in a safe manner
Maintain a high level of housekeeping in warehouse
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
Minimum one (1) year experience as a parts person or warehouse worker, preferably in a valve/wellhead manufacturing environment
Computer skills (working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP software preferred; experience with SAP is an asset)
WHIMS
Effective English written, verbal, and reading skills
Strong attention to detail
Solid work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Grade 12 diploma or equivalency
Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Forklift certification and/or experience preferred
