Job Description

FirstOnSite Restoration has an immediate opening for a Water Damage Technician in our Grande Prairie branch.

Position Summary:
The role of the Water Damage Technician is to respond to water related emergencies in residential homes and commercial properties. Technicians are responsible for stabilizing, cleaning, and placing drying equipment in preparation for restoration.
Responsibilities:
Extract water using truck mounts, portables and other related equipment
Work collaboratively with construction and content crews
Assist with demolition when necessary
Calculate and set up drying equipment
Monitor drying process and adjust equipment as required
Install site protection in all work areas
Clean and sanitize restorable building components
May be required to manipulate or move contents
Commit to all FOS health and safety policies and procedures and ensures the same of all personnel and sub-contractors on site
Experience and Requirements:
Experience in the construction or restoration industry is considered an asset
Valid driver’s license and clean criminal record
Able to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
CSA footwear and other appropriate PPE must be worn at all times when on job sites
