Full-Time Construction Labourer in Saskatoon
Job Description
Acadia Group of Companies is looking for construction Labourers.
Labourers will be responsible for assisting heavy equipment operators.
Responsibilities
Perform spotting of trucks and other heavy equipment,
Perform duties of a flag person directing heavy equipment
Operate 2-way radio
Use various construction tools
Work within tight deadlines and handle heavy tools
Identify hazards on site and contribute to a safe work environment
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Knowledge
2+ Years of experience
Knowledge of safety rules, workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
Knowledge of industrial, commercial, and road construction
Strong verbal & listening skills
Must be honest, and trustworthy, respectful, flexible and have good work ethics
Requirements
Must have steel-toed boots
Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License and reliable transportation
Ability to exert frequent high physical effort.
Ability to work outside in all types of weather.
Completion of Safety and First Aid courses would be an asset.
Must arrive at work Fit for Duty as required.
May be required to take a drug and alcohol test.
