MVT Canadian Bus is the contract provider to TransLink for the HandyDART service in the Metro Vancouver area of British Columbia. HandyDART is a door-to-door shared-ride service using specially equipped vehicles for those unable to use public transit without assistance. For many seniors and persons with cognitive or physical disabilities, our service is their only means of transportation.
Operating 365 days of the year, we provide over 1.2 million passenger trips each year throughout Metro Vancouver. Whether it’s taking someone to work, church or critical medical appointments, HandyDART Drivers are responsible for providing safe, reliable transportation and exceptional customer service.
About You:
We’re currently seeking candidates to join our team as Casual HandyDART Drivers. To become a HandyDART Driver, you must:
Be over the age of 19
Possess a Class 4 Unrestricted BC Driver’s License
Have an acceptable Driving Record
Be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
Be available in the morning and on weekends (This job is not suitable for people who have part time jobs and can only work nights)
Successful applicants receive full paid training; however work experience in any of the following areas is desirable:
Previous professional driving experience
Experience working with the elderly or persons with disabilities
Customer service experience, or experience working with the general public

Paid training ($18.02 per hour, first 2 weeks)
Starting Hourly rate of $25.29 upon completion of training
