The Network Management Department is a key part of the SLH Field Support operation and the hub of our freight planning and customer service activities. This position will appeal to individuals who enjoy interacting with the employees (drivers) who are on the front lines in delivering the high level of service that SLH customers have come to expect.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for supervising an assigned Driver group (Drivers and Driver Helpers) in order to ensure availability to meet business needs. This will involve performing all dispatching duties and following Driver movements, directing Drivers, distributing work/routes, and scheduling Drivers to handle loads in order to meet or exceed customer expectations and to ensure that all SLH and government requirements are adhered to. You will also be responsible for addressing any issues related to Driver performance, punctuality, availability, training, vacation approval and payroll concerns, as required. This position works closely with the Transportation Planners to ensure that service expectations are met, equipment utilization is maximized and potential service failures are avoided.
Success in this role calls for personal commitment to customer service and a specialized knowledge of the transportation market in order ensure that dispatching activities adhere to SLH Transport guidelines. The ideal job candidate will have completed a 1-year Certificate program or specialized training in the area of Transportation.
