Starting Time: ASAP
Work Hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Mon- Fri *Must be available for after hours (mornings, evenings, weekend and holiday) as required. Additional hours will be calculated as overtime pay.
Compensation: Starting $15.75 to $16.50 /hour (DOE)
*Entitled to join a group insurance (medical, dental, life insurance, pension plan, etc.) after successful completion of 3 month probationary period.
Main Job Duties:
– Complete daily vehicle inspection (MOT circle check).
– Verify items picked up match documentation provided by shipper.
– Be present during loading and offloading of goods; secure cargo against theft or tampering.
– Verify documentation to ensure the information on the documentation matches the cargo being delivered as required by the company regulations.
– Move cargo to checking area for weight and dimensions check in, complete cargo acceptance sheet, move cargo to air export hold section.
– Comply with safety standards and procedure.
Minimum Requirements:
– At least 5 years of commercial truck driving experience
– Good command in English, both spoken and written (business level)
– Chinese/Japanese language skills definitely an asset
– Valid AZ license (Class 1)
– Clean Driver Abstracts
– Must have a clean criminal record
– Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 70lbs
– Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
– Strong communication skills with variety of people
– Hard working team player with positive attitude
– Quick, alert, resourceful and versatile
– Must hold a Canadian citizenship or a permanent residency
