Full-Time Forklift Operator in Ottawa
Job Description
Position: Labourer with Forklift Certification
Location: Ottawa
Salary: $15 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday with some Saturdays as required
Are you certified to operate a forklift and have a valid Ontario forklift license with experience working with large unbalanced loads? If so, you may be the one we are looking for!
Our client needs to hire an experienced, reliable and team-oriented General Labourer/Forklift Operator to fill a long-term contract with a potential for permanent placement based on performance.
Please note that you must have access to a vehicle to be considered for this opportunity. Location is in the East End and not bus accessible.
Job Details:
– Performing general labour tasks
– Operating machines
– Working in a steel plant
– Lifting 50+ lb. on an ongoing basis
– Performing very labour-intensive work
– Moving raw materials using a forklift
– Managing large unbalanced loads
Important: forklift operation will be the secondary role – approximately 5 to 10% of job duties
Requirements:
– 1 to 2 years of forklift experience
– 1 to 2 years of general labour experience
– Ability to lift 50+ lb.
– Current forklift certification (propane) and propane handling certificate – a must
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
– Reliability and punctuality
