Full-Time Handler, Materials – Manufacturing And Warehousing in Mississauga

Under the direction of the DC Manager (DCM), the Warehouse Associate (WA) is mainly responsible for the receiving and shipping of products. The mandate is to receive inbound merchandise & ship picked orders with minimal error.
Duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Ø Accurately pick & prepare daily delivery orders for retail and mobile stores
Ø Receive inbound merchandise, check for discrepancies and accurately separate special requests from the order
Ø Move inbound stock to the appropriate storage area and place inventory in pick faces. Ensures area is accessible and secure at all times
Ø Execute stock transfer requests initiated by retail & mobile stores
Ø Assembles merchandise, packs goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
Ø Restock picking locations from overstock so that the stock is accessible
Ø Maintain internal record-keeping systems
Ø Maintain storage area clean, rotate stock as required, replace and repair damaged packaging
Ø Follow proper procedures in processing and handling damaged goods
Ø Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure that their expectations are being met within the required timelines
Ø Other assignments on an as needed basis
Performance Expectations:
Ø Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers
Ø Follow all safety standards and company policies
Ø Maintain a fill rate of 97% for picking orders
Ø Maintain an error rate of less than 0.01% on total in/out items
Ø Ensures proper housekeeping of the warehouse
Ø Able to build and sustain collaborative relationships & assist in creating a positive working environment
Ø Is an ambassador of the brand and company during and after work hours
Ø Demonstrates the ability to work well under pressure, handles multiple tasks, and performs duties with a sense of urgency
Ø Protects the MSS brand by maintaining a professional approach with customers & and internal employees
Ø Demonstrates professional etiquette through integrity, honesty, and respect
Qualifications:
Ø Previous warehouse experience preferred
Ø Strong computer navigation skills
Ø Above average oral and written communication skills
Ø Physical requirements include lifting up to 40 pounds, bending and climbing a ladder up to ten feet
Ø Flexibility to work different shift depending on warehouse requirements
Ø Experience using equipment such as forklift, dolly, pump trucks, tailgate lift, computer terminal, printer, photocopier and fax machine is preferred
