Full-Time Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Mississauga
Job Description
Requirements
* Perform all job functions according to Real Alloy Health & Safety procedures.
* Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behavior
* Participate in and support continuous Improvement initiatives
* Maintain work area In accordance with 5S principles
* Assist other maintenance staff as instructed by manager
* Troubleshoot and repair mobile equipment as follows
* Diagnosing and determining problems in the functioning of Hyster and Caterpillar lift trucks, Caterpillar and Case front end wheel loaders, Tennant sweepers, Genie man lifts, and Snorkel tractor lifts
* Conduct routine preventative maintenance programs an all mobile equipment. Cleaning, lubricating and maintaining equipment according to maintenance schedules.
* Reading owner/operator/manufacturer operating manuals and service specifications
* Identifying replacement parts required and preparing parts lists for procurement
* Adjusting equipment or repairing or replacing defective parts, components or systems
* Testing and operating repaired equipment for proper performance
* Communicating with co-workers and department managers
* Complete work orders and enter data into CMMS.
* Available to work weekends and off hours
Qualifications
* Licensed Heavy equipment Technician/ Mechanic 421A (preferred) or
* 10+ years of relevant experience; preferably in industrial environment
* Excellent communication skills, written & verbal
