Full-Time Labourer – Material Handling in Edmonton
Job Description
The Opportunity
Responsible for delivering technical, safety and operator training programs to both internal and external clients. The focus will be on training technicians, customers and sub-dealers. The training covers detailed aspects our distributed products and services offered throughout our branch network
The Role
Course Preparation: Complete and maintain internal and external training (online training, information on new products); prepare the lecture content and practical courses as well as documentation related to the course.
Logistics: Oversee the transportation of equipment (engine , transmissions , tools, etc.).
Schedules, registrations: develop training schedules and pre-validate the registrations lists.
Training: Provide classes according to the evaluation criteria established by suppliers; assess the level of materials retained for technicians using oral questions and practical tests; provide the attendance list and the assessment of technicians for the certification of technicians.
Maintain in-house training matrix for all locations, regions and products, including a complete listing of all courses required and completed by company technician.
Administrative tasks: prepare exams and or class changes for technicians; correct tests and provide the results to the related branches; enter the information onto the in -house system (number of courses, participants, etc.); may be required to prepare quotes.
Manuals: Prepare course manuals and maintain the training plan and schedule.
The Candidate
Education: College Diploma, training certificate an asset
Work Experience: 3-4 years related experience in a Product Training role in an industrial field. Experience with dealers (Hyster, Hitachi, JCB);
Knowledge: Knowledge of heavy equipment and material handling equipment sectors; knowledge and comprehension of different technical systems (fuel systems, cooling systems, hydraulics);
Proficiency: Bilingual (English/French) an asset
