Full-Time Labourer wanted in Vancouver and Lower Mainland

Assist in the dismantling of structures and buildings, removal of hazardous materials, and carry out salvage operations around the Lower Mainland.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manual labour that will include the lifting of heavy objects, site clean-up and repetitious labour
- Preparation of site for demolition and abatement including but not limited to the installation of rails and safety screens and laying of dust sheets
- Separating out re-usable building materials post-demolition
- Stripping out fittings, removing doors and windows, dismantling roof structures and drywall removal
- Ensure appropriate safety equipment is worn at all times and safety instructions are followed at all times
- Notify your Site Supervisor of any unsafe or potentially hazardous situations on site
- Ensure all equipment to be used is in good working order and notify your Site Supervisor otherwise
- Responsible for your own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes CSA Approve hard hat, visi vest, steel toe boots, safety glasses and gloves
- A firm commitment to work five days a week for a minimum of 40 hours
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- The ability to follow spoken and written instructions
- Must be clean shaven due to safety requirements – half mask respirator
- Good team-working skills
- Comfortable wearing a half mask, full face PAPR and Tyvek suit
- Ability to transport yourself to project sites located in the Lower Mainland
