We are now hiring for 5 Full-time Highlift Drivers to work in our flight kitchen located at the Edmonton airport. This position is represented by a labor Union and is covered by one or more collective bargaining agreement.
A Highlift Driver is responsible for loading galley equipment onto a truck, driving the truck to various types of aircraft and loading the equipment. All activities must be accomplished according to customer guidelines and while adhering to safety regulations. The Driver interacts with the airline representatives at the aircraft, therefore must be customer service oriented. the driver will fill out a shift report and complete a pre trip inspection from each shift.
Job Specific Requirements: Current driver’s license Clean driving record
Our Employees Must Be Able to: Arrive on time and be punctual, cross training required in different departments. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Must be able work assigned schedule which may include multiple shifts, weekends and holidays Work overtime when required will be very frequent during busy season and holidays rotation Willingness to work under various climatic conditions. Pass a criminal background check Current drivers license Clean driving record Follow directions Work as a member of a team, work in a safe manner and follow all safety policies posted and or signed off on Able to lift heavy objects Capacity to work within strict timelines in order to maintain on time departures of aircrafts Must be able to obtain the transport Canada security card Must be able to work in commissary when required. Follow specs provided by customer, attention to detail, computer skilss required Communicated effectively with managers and co-workers. Complete all paper work assigned, accurately and consistently Follow hygiene policy.
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED preferred
