We are now hiring for On Call Drivers to work in our flight kitchen located at Winnipeg James Armstrong International Airport in Winnipeg, MB. This position is represented by a labor Union and is covered by one or more collective bargaining agreement.
Position Summary:
To support YWG operations-transport team, we are offering this opportunity to train and perform the function of a high-lift driver on an on-call/casual basis.
Job Specific Requirements:
Good communication skills
Current driver’s license
Clean driving record
Able to obtain Transportation security pass from Transport Canada
Able to obtain Winnipeg International Airport Vehicle Operators Permit
Read, write and follow directions and airline specifications
Applicant Must Be Able to:
Work assigned schedule which may include multiple shifts, weekends and holidays
Work overtime when required
Follow written specifications and directions
Good communication skills reading/ writing
Complete paperwork
Communicate with Supervisors and co-workers
Follow directions
Willing to perform other functions in the kitchen during the slow periods
Work as a member of a team
Environmental Requirements:
Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise
Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to seventy-five (75) pounds
Regularly stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
