Full-Time Operator, Forklift in Mississauga
Job Description

DUTIES:
o Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pick up according to schedule accurately and efficiently.(load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
o Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off.
Ensure that shipments contain proper documentation and if multiple items per shipment, ensure item lists are complete.
Report discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
Maintain filing of shipping documents.
Schedule daily transportation needs with different carriers/couriers, if required.
Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries.
Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations. .
o Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
o Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
o Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
o Maintain general warehouse cleanliness and maintenance as well as outside yard maintenance.
o Work as a team effort with co-workers.
o Assist all walk-in customers / drivers / couriers that enter the warehouse premises.
REQUIREMENTS
Valid Forklift and reach truck licence and demonstrated ability to operate equipment including forklift truck.
Online shipping, tracking and receiving experience utilizing FedEx, UPS, Purolator and DHL.
Experience in the distribution industry preferred.
Working experience in Shipping and Receiving role preferred.
Able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Basic mathematical skills.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Ability to weigh and measure items.
Working knowledge of safe packing methods.
Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift truck.
