Job Description

Primary Objective:

 

This individual works under the direction of the Receiving Supervisor and is responsible for driving company vehicles to safely transport bulk or packaged produce and engage in clients and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner.​

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

• Operate tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 GVW
• Transporting and deliver goods in bulk or packaged forms
• May be required to load and unload your own vehicle at times
• Must be able to operate a forklift
• Practice safe driving as you will encounter all different road and weather conditions that could compromise the load
• All applicable safety precautions and pre-opt and post-opt vehicle inspections are logged, completed and handed into the company upon completion of every delivery run
• Follow all applicable transportation regulated laws and acts
• Execute accurate and timely handling of client delivery requests
• Prepares accurate paperwork and records
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as seen fit by your Supervisor.​

 

 

Skill Requirements:

 

• Valid class AZ driver’s license and good driving record
• 3+​ year’s commercial driving experience tractor-trailer
• 1-3 year’s Forklift experience required
• Must be able to cross US border
• Walk, stand and sit for extended periods of time
• Lifting and bending required
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background checks
• Demonstrate safe and efficient driving skills
• Working without direct supervision
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to adhere and enforce all security and safety procedures
