Driver/Fleet Team Leader

Main Responsibilities:
· Lead and supervise a group of drivers/dispatchers
· Ensure all drivers are trained and operating in a safe manner and complying with all regulatory, legislative guidelines and company health and safety policies and procedures
· Ensure vehicle accidents/incidents are investigated, root cause determined and corrective measures are implemented to improve safety
· Manage employee productivity, monitor performance for efficiency of truck utilization and performance to key indicators
· Assist in the development, implementation and management of cost effective asset management and maintenance strategies
· Assist with the development and implementation of fleet administration standards and vehicle operation policies
· Monitor and evaluate vehicle maintenance, including the service and repair functions to identify needs and determine financial effectiveness and operational efficiency
· Determine priority of vehicle maintenance and coordinate
· Daily dispatch and planning
· Cost centre and P & L responsibility for area of accountability
· Ensure all driver records/reports are completed based on MTO requirements and filed accordingly
Requirements
· Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
· Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook
· Post-Secondary Education in a Logistics program is an asset
· 4-6 years previous applicable experience in Logistics/Transportation
· Very good at building lasting and strong business relationships
· A passion to make a difference as a business person!

· Recognized for strong analytical skills and finding insights to prove impact and return on investment for everything we do
· Tactful and great at dealing with difficult and demanding situations
· Organized, detailed oriented, ability to prioritize tasks
· High sense of initiative
