Job Description

Role:
Reporting to the SCM Lead, Operations the Senior Warehouse Worker is part of a dynamic team responsible for the onsite SCM support of the JACOS Hangingstone SAGD operations. The Senior Warehouse Worker is accountable for planning and participating in the operations and activities of a warehouse. Activities include receiving, storing, shipping and delivering materials to required locations in a timely manner, meeting business requirements, minimizing risk and enhancing SCM’s contribution to JACOS.
Qualifications:
High School diplomaValid Driver’s LicenseTen (10)+ years of SCM experience with a minimum of five (5) of these being warehousingExperience within the oil and gas industry will be considered a strong asset and preference will be given to candidates with relevant industry experienceDemonstrated experience and expertise in warehousing and inventory processes and activitiesExperience with MAXIMO (or similar EAM system) Materials Management/Inventory modulesProficiency with email, word processing and electronic spreadsheetsPhysically capable of lifting heavy objects on a consistent basisThe ability to meet the challenges of tight deadlines while providing exceptional service to our business partnersExcellent communication skills, an ability to engage, negotiate and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Strong attention to detail
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan and participate in the operations and activities of a warehouse. Receive, store, ship and deliver materials, supplies and equipment to various locations in a timely mannerStock products; plan storage locations; determine proper location of supplies to allow for maximum space utilizationMaintain accurate computerized inventory records for all items in the warehouse and manage item stocking levels Closely monitor inventory levels by conducting daily/weekly cycle counts; participate in the performance of periodic and annual physical inventoriesReceive, unload and inspect shipments for damage and conformity to purchase order specifications and packing slips; contact vendors regarding shortages, damaged goods or other discrepancies; complete receiving, discrepancy and follow-up reportsPrepare, maintain and submit a variety of records and reports related to warehouse operations; prepare paperwork for return for credits and verify receipt of returned for credits merchandiseMentor and provide guidance to other warehouse staff; prioritize work assignmentsOperate a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck and other equipment utilized in the warehouseFill, prioritize and process requisitions; pull, pack and ship items or supplies according to established procedures; drive a truck to deliver supplies and equipment as needed; maintain backorder recordsProvide information and resolve issues concerning requisitions, stock on hand, back orders and shipment discrepancies, damage or storage; meet with vendors and sales representatives as necessaryMaintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, safe and secure condition; assure all areas are in compliance with applicable laws, codes, rules and regulationsMake recommendations regarding proper storage, inventory and warehousing procedures and improvements in warehouse efficiency

Working Conditions:
This position is located at our Hangingstone site 50 km SW of Fort McMurrayWorking on a 4 days on / 3 days off rotation working a 10 hour shift. In early 2017 this will transition to a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation working a 12 hour shift.
